Iwate Snow Festival

This is one of the most popular snow festivals in Tohoku. One of the highlights of the Iwate Yuki Matsuri is the giant snow sculptures on display. The main venue, Iwate Kogen Snow Park, is scheduled to display nine giant snow sculptures, including a maze-shaped sculpture that will make you feel like an explorer and a shinkansen-themed sculpture, as well as two mid-sized sculptures and snow sculptures for the contest. The giant sculptures are about six meters high, and the smallest ones are at least 180 centimeters, so they are sure to excite parents as much as their children. The snow sculptures will be lit up at night, and fireworks will be set off at 7:30 p.m. every day during the event. The ephemeral atmosphere of the snow sculptures and the beautiful fireworks will make wonderful family memories.
